Allow me to explain ⬇ 🇬🇧 The artist behind this painting is William Holman Hunt, one of the founders of the ✨Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood ✨ A bunch of serious Englishmen with beards and sideburns that didn’t like the looks of mid-19th-century British art AT ALL. 🤝 So they teamed up and created guidelines to breathe new life into what they thought was the dusty old boring English art of the time. 🏛
