I like big snakes and I cannot lie 🐍The scrub python is Australia’s longest snake, regularly pushing 3-4 meters in length as adults! These massive constrictors hunt primarily mammalian and avian prey, often at night, using their eyes and heat sensing pits to locate their targets. These snakes will often hunt around and even on the road which means they can put themselves in danger of being hit by cars fairly frequently. We moved a good handful of these beautiful pythons off the road this night

In August 1864, three children wandered into the harsh Australian Mallee scrub. Nine-year-old Isaac Cooper, his seven-year-old sister Jane, and four-year-old Frank Duff were lost when a thunderstorm washed away all traces of their passage. Officials soon abandoned the search, presuming they had perished. Local residents enlisted three Indigenous trackers from the Wotjobaluk people, Dick-a-Dick, Jerry, and Fred. The trackers soon picked up the trail and found the children on the ninth day, huddle
