🕊️ Commemorating the 84th Anniversary of the Battle of Crete 🕊️🇬🇧 🇳🇿 🇦🇺 On 24 May, we gathered with over 400 guests at Suda Bay War Cemetery to remember those who fought and fell during the Battle of Crete. One of the most dramatic and costly campaigns of the Second World War. In May 1941, Commonwealth forces in Crete stood together to defend strategic airfields at Iraklion, Rethymnon, and Maleme, and the vital port at Suda Bay. On 20 May, German airborne troops launched their assault. M
