A racy postcard dating to around 1912, part of a popular genre that blurred the line between romance, flirtation, and social daring in the Edwardian era. This card was sent to Mr G. Sowerby of 24 Simpson Street, Felling-on-Tyne, and postmarked 11 October 1912. The image itself plays on intimacy and suggestion, carefully staged to be provocative while remaining acceptable for postal circulation at the time.
